Bob Evans restaurant in Twinsburg closed its doors this weekend.
The company announced the restaurant, located at 8900 Hadden Road, closed on Oct. 14.
The entire team was offered transfers to nearby locations. A spokesperson for the restaurant said most of the hourly employees and both managers accepted.
Bob Evans released a statement regarding the closure:
“The beloved Bob Evans brand continues to thrive, and we will keep a strong presence in the Cleveland market. To assure Bob Evans Restaurants can maintain the stability of our business and build toward a vibrant future, we must make some tough decisions. The closure of our Twinsburg location is one of those changes. By closing underperforming locations, we can focus on our core brand and on aligning our marketing and operational efforts.
“We are grateful to our local restaurant employees and managers for their service and to our loyal guests who have visited the Twinsburg restaurant for many years. All employees were invited to consider positions with other area Bob Evans locations, and we are pleased the vast majority remain employed with us. We have a firm priority on the opportunities that lie ahead.”
