Boston Mills Ski Resort opened for skiers this weekend, for the first time this season.

The milder weather has impacted the business' snow-making abilities but owners are doing what they can to get skiers back on the slopes.

Colder temperatures in recent days allowed workers to make a blanket of snow on one of the hills.

Thanks to everyone who made it out today for some good times.Unfortunately we will not be open tomorrow.Check bmbw.com for more info on re opening as temperatures allow.

With a warm-up expected this week, workers will take things day-by-day and continue to make more snow when temperatures drop back down.

Lack of snowfall also caused problems for the resort last year, delaying opening until the New Year. However, in 2013, Boston Mills saw its earliest opening since 1996.

Peek 'n Peak in Clymer, N.Y. is also set to open soon. Owners say the resort will officially open Dec. 26, with two chairlifts and six trails.
