COVENTRY, Ohio — A construction worker was struck while directing traffic in Coventry on Wednesday morning.
The crash happened around 6:45 a.m. in a construction zone on Robinson Avenue.
According to deputies, a 52-year-old construction worker was standing in the westbound lane directing eastbound traffic past the construction vehicle.
A 62-year-old woman was driving her Nissan Sentra west and did not see the worker standing in the lane. She struck the worker.
The worker was transported to Akron General Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
