Cuyahoga Falls restaurant and bakery issues voluntary recall of 3,250 pounds of sausage

CUYAHOGA FALLS, Ohio — Kiflis Restaurant and Bakery in Cuyahoga Falls announced a voluntary recall on beef sausage that was produced, packed and distributed without getting the state meat inspection, according to a release from the Ohio Department of Agriculture.

Approximately 3,250 pounds of Bosnian Cevapi-Original Sarajevo Style Beef Sausage were produced and packaged from Aug. 6 through Feb. 6.

The following product is subject to the recall:

  • 8 pound (30 count) packages of Bosnian Cevapi-Original Sarajevo Style Beef Sausage.

The recall sausage products do not include the Ohio mark inspection.

The product was distributed through retail stores located in the Greater Cleveland Area:

  • Mentor Family Foods located at 7294 Lakeshore Blvd, Mentor
  • Alesci’s of Shoregate located at 29730 Lakeshore Blvd, Willowick.
  • Taste of Europe located at 15512 Madison Ave., Lakewood.
  • PV Euro Market located at 4805 W. Pleasant Valley Rd, Cleveland.

The sausages produced at Kiflis Restaurant and Bakery retail store at 2018 State Road are not included in the recall, according to the news release.
