Akron police detectives have opening an investigation into the death of a 68-year-old woman after her body was found in a canal in early Sunday morning.
Betty J. Green of Akron was found behind a building on the 380 block of south Main Street around 7 a.m.
The Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victim and has completed an autopsy. The results are pending toxicology studies and further police investigation. But the autopsy did not show evidence of foul play, according to medical examiners.
