Man arrested after Twinsburg police find missing teenager

TWINSBURG, Ohio — Twinsburg police have arrested a man after finding a missing 14-year-old girl.

Michael Johnson, 35, was arrested and charged for interference of custody and unlawful sexual conduct, court records.

Police said they received a call from Akron police asking for help locating the missing 14-year-old.

Officers searched the area and found the girl was with Michael Johnson, 35.

Johnson had a Colorado ID but may have been living in an office in the 2500 block of Aurora Road.

He was transported to the Solon Jail, where he was held until his arraignment. On Monday, Johnson appeared in front of a Stow Municipal Court judge via video arraignment.

He did not enter a plea, according to court records.

The judge set his bond at $350,000 with GPS monitoring and no contact with the victim or the victim's family.

His preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 6 at 10:30 a.m.
