A Solon woman was reportedly kicked, punched and thrown down the stairs when she tried to stop her allegedly intoxicated husband from leaving the house, Akron police reported Monday.
When their son tried to stop Matthew Rios, 40, from hitting his mother, Rios also allegedly punched his son in the face, according to authorities.
Officers reported finding the woman with a swollen face and crying. Rios' son also had scrapes and swelling on his face, police state.
Rios was charged with felonious assault and domestic violence. His wife was transported to Akron City Hospital.
