SUMMIT COUNTY, Ohio — Due to the rising number of COVID-19 cases across the state and in Northeast Ohio, Summa Health announced it will be suspending a number of elective procedures beginning Tuesday, Dec. 1 at 12 a.m.

The health care system announced that most elective procedures in surgical services, cardiology, endoscopy and interventional radiology will be stopped.

Summa Health said the decision does not impact any of the emergency services in the health care system and that outpatient centers and Summa Health Medical Group offices will remain open.

Patients with questions about their elective procedures can call 234-867-6314 for more information.
