Income tax season is underway and several Summit County nonprofit organizations are offering free tax preparation services, according to News 5 media partner Akron Beacon Journal.
United Way of Summit County is offering free tax preparation by appointment for workers whose households earn less than $60,000 at its Financial Empowerment Center at 1060 Kenmore Boulevard in Akron, ABJ reports.
The Community Action Akron Summit agency is also offering free tax preparation at various locations, according to ABJ.
