TUSCARAWAS COUNTY, Ohio — The Tuscarawas County Sheriff’s Office is searching for the individuals responsible for shooting a family’s pet cat in the leg with a bow and arrow.

Aaron Albery and his girlfriend own a cat named Tigger.

The cat came to the door of their Brightwood home Saturday afternoon, clawing and crying to be let in. When the family let him in, they found an arrow in his back leg.

Tigger was taken to a veterinarian where he underwent surgery to remove the arrow. The surgery went well and the cat is in stable condition, but the individuals who shot him have not yet been identified.

Deputies said their office “very much wants to hold the individuals who are responsible for this abuse accountable."

While Tigger recovers, Albery and his girlfriend are being assisted with the medical costs by a GoFundMe started for Tigger’s surgery and other medical bills.
