On Wednesday a single-engine plane crashed into a field near Fulton Road.
The pilot, Charles Marcum, 74 of Lorain, Ohio was operating a single engine plane when he indicated the engine stopped abruptly around 12:36 p.m. Marcum attempted to land in an open field. After landing, the plane flipped over.
Marcum and his passenger, Vance Mansfield, 29 of Lorain Ohio were treated on the scene by squad personal and sustained minor injuries.
The FAA, officers from the Wayne County Sheriff's Office, the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Canaan Township Fire and EMS were all at the scene.
