WATCH: GE's 94th annual Nela Park holiday lighting ceremony

CLEVELAND - The 94th annual Nela Park GE Lighting display, one of Cleveland’s most anticipated holiday spectacles, kicked off Friday at 5 p.m. with the lighting ceremony at 5:30 p.m.

The GE Lighting holiday lights display features over half a million LED lights that last ten times longer than traditional Christmas lights and save about 80 percent in energy costs.

GE Lighting has designed and provided the lights for the National Christmas Tree in Washington D.C. for the past 56 years and will feature a replica of the National Tree in the display.

The GE Lighting World Headquarters, Nela Park is located at 1975 Noble Rd. in East Cleveland.

The holiday display will remain lit 24 hours a day until Jan. 2.
