Families and school districts across Ohio who booked school trips through Discovery Tours have been looking for answers for more than a month.
The company filed for bankruptcy last month after abruptly canceling many trips that were paid for. As it turned out, the trips were either never booked or only partially booked. Not to mention, none of the money parents and schools paid for the trips has been refunded.
Families and districts are now a little closer to answers after Discovery Tours had its first bankruptcy hearing on Thursday. But this is just step one on the long road to finding out what happened. It could be years before this is fully sorted out.
