CLEVELAND — Cleveland Clinic health care workers who had been in New York City helping the understaffed health care system during the COVID-19 pandemic have returned home after four weeks of volunteer work.
Twelve Cleveland Clinic nurses and one physician returned home Friday night after spending the last month taking care of COVID-19 patients at New York Presbyterian Hospital.
The workers were greeted at the airport on their return home with signs, treats and a lot of love.
Cleveland Clinic nurses that traveled to Michigan to help there have plans to return home on May 20, the Clinic said.
