STOW, Ohio — For the last 18 months, Sgt. Michael Jarosz has been serving in the Ohio National Guard with the 1st Battalion of the 145th Armored Regiment in Kuwait. On Friday, he surprised his family during the Stow-Munroe Falls football game in an epic return.

Jarosz and his wife Jen have five children in the school district, Erica, Kayleigh, Sabreena, Michael Jr. and Mickey.

The family was told they were going to be part of a special halftime to honor members of the military and their families.

During the halftime event, Jarosz—disguised as "Spike" the mascot—entered the field with his family and surprised him by taking off the mascot head, revealing he was finally home.

The heartwarming reunion made for the perfect night under Friday night lights.
