ATHENS COUNTY, Ohio — A Statewide Endangered Missing Adult Alert has been canceled for a missing 73-year-old Athens County man with Alzheimer’s Disease. Authorities said he has been found safe.

On Sunday at around 9 p.m., a 72-year-old man was last seen walking away from his residence on Bean Hollow Road and never returned.
He has Alzheimer’s disease and does not have his medication with him.
Sawyers was last seen wearing blue jeans, a blue button-down shirt and brown dress shoes.
