Cleveland is on pace to record another deadly year as homicides pass the number of murders that occurredlast year. In 2016, the city recorded 146 homicides, smashing a 10-year record. About this time last year, there were 36 homicides. As of April 27, the city had already recorded at least 37 homicides, according to News 5 Cleveland archives.
