Bernie Sanders makes stop in Akron

Democratic Presidential candidate Bernie Sanders is scheduled to visit Youngstown and Akron on Monday, March 14. 

Sanders will visit Ohio, North Carolina and Missouri on March 14. He will hold rallies in Youngstown, Akron, Charlotte and St. Louis. Sanders will discuss a wide range of issues including college affordability, immigration reform and the need to take on a rigged economy held in place by a corrupt campaign finance system.

"A Future to Believe in Youngstown Rally" will begin at 11 a.m. with doors opening at 8 a.m. It will be held at the Covelli Centre, located at 229 E. Front St. The event is free and open to the public. RSVPs are encouraged. 

"A Future to Believe in Akron Rally" will begin at 1 p.m. with doors opening at 11 a.m. It will be held at the Akron Civic Theatre, located at 182 South Main St. This event, too, is free and open to the public. RSVPs are encouraged for this event as well.

For security reasons, bags are not allowed and attendees should limit what they bring to small, personal items such as keys and cell phones. Weapons, sharp objects, chairs, and signs or banners on sticks will not be allowed through security. Public parking is available on site.
