Police are releasing new details about the 1-year-old girl shot in Tucson, Arizona, Tuesday night.
Officers first responded to the call at around 2 p.m. at a home. A baby girl with obvious signs of gunshot trauma was rushed to the hospital, police say.
At around noon Wednesday, police say the child died as a result of her injuries.
Investigating officers later determined a toddler in the home got hold of the gun and accidentally shot the infant.
Police say they're still investigating the incident and the county attorney will ultimately determine whether to bring charges in the case.
