Politico created a buzz Thursday when it reported that two anonymous sources said The Republican National Committee is shelling out $750,000 for a post-convention bash in Cleveland that will feature a performance by Journey.
But Sean Spicer, communications director for the Republican National Committee is tweeting - not so.
don't start believing @politico false reporting - Journey is a great band but the RNC has NOT signed them to play - another faux story

Some 1,300 party-goers are allegedly expected to show up at Cleveland's State Theatre to attend the bash, which will be the capstone of the four day convention, according to Politico.
The convention is slated for July 18 through July 21 at Quicken Loans arena.
Journey's official tour schedule shows nothing booked July 19 through July 26.
Stay tuned.
