An Air Quality Alert has been issued by the by the Northeast Ohio Areawide Coordinating Agency for multiple counties across Northeast Ohio until midnight Friday.
The alert is for the following counties: Ashtabula, Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain, Medina, Portage and Summit counties.
Officials are urging residents to carpool or take alternative forms of transportation such as ride shares, biking or public transportation where possible. If you are driving Friday, turn your car off instead of letting it idle during long stops.
