2-month-old child taken from Warren found, authorities say

WARREN, Ohio — A 2-month-old child taken from Warren has been found, according to police.

Police said the child was returned by the grandmother.

The child's father, James Stennett, is in custody. He was apprehended somewhere on the east side of Warren, according to police.

An Amber Alert was issued in Ohio after a 2-month-old child was allegedly taken by a 20-year-old man from Hazelwood Avenue in Warren, Ohio at 1:20 p.m. Thursday afternoon.

The child was described in the alert as a male, 1-foot, 8-inches tall, 11 pounds with blonde hair and blue eyes. The child was last seen wearing a yellow shirt and blue/yellow pants.

The suspect is James Stennett. He is described as a white male, age 20, 5-feet, 11-inches tall, 142 pounds in weight with blonde hair and blue eyes. No clothing description is available.

The vehicle involved is a gold 2005 Buick Rendezvous with Ohio plate HQN8371.

Authorities say Stennett is armed and has threatened to harm police.

In addition to local police, the FBI, Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation and Ohio State Highway Patrol are working to locate Stennett and the child.

The alert states: "Call or dial 911 if you see the child, the suspect or the vehicle. You can also call 1-877-AMBER-OH (1-877-262-3764) or 911 to be transferred directly to the investigating law enforcement agency or to hear the alert information."

The Amber Alert was issued by the Trumbull County 911 for the following regions: Central & East Lakeshore, Youngstown, East Central Ohio, Upper Ohio Valley, which includes the following counties: Carroll, Columbiana, Coshocton, Cuyahoga, Erie, Geauga, Guernsey, Harrison, Holmes, Huron, Jefferson, Lake, Lorain, Mahoning, Medina, Monroe, Noble, Portage, Stark, Summit, Trumbull, Tuscarawas, and Wayne.
