Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine cancels Thursday's briefing out of respect for George Floyd's memorial service

COLUMBUS — Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine has canceled his Thursday coronavirus briefing out of respect for the memorial service being held for George Floyd in Minneapolis.

DeWine said any updates on the state’s response to COVID-19 or any other details that are part of the Restart Responsible Ohio plan will be given via a press release.

The memorial for George Floyd, an unarmed black man who died in police custody, sparking national outrage, will be held at 2 p.m.
