SANDUSKY COUNTY, Ohio — The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash involving a pedestrian in Sandusky County that occurred last week.

On Wednesday, Sept. 11 around 10:43 p.m., an 18-year-old Anthony Ervin, from Bloomdale, was walking on Napoleon Road near Terra Community College, troopers said.

A small silver pickup truck driving east on Napoleon Road struck Ervin and then fled the scene, according to troopers.

Ervin was flown to Mercy Health-St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo and then transported to OSU Wexner Medical Center where he died from his injuries three days later, troopers said.

The pickup truck that struck Ervin and fled has not been located, according to troopers.

Anyone with information about the truck should call Ohio State Highway Patrol at 419-332-0085 or 419-625-6565.
