FREMONT, Ohio — A local waitress is paying it forward after a customer left her a note on the receipt.
Kalee Young tweeted a picture of the note that says,"Ask DeWine for the rest of the tip."
Young said the customer was upset because state social distancing rules prevented a group from sitting together, so they left a tip of less than 10%.
After she posted the customer's note on social media, other people began leaving big tips and even sent her money on Venmo.
But instead of keeping the money, she's paying it forward.
Young said she's raised at least $300 in the last several days.
