MARIETTA — Residents and law enforcement in Marietta, located in southeastern Ohio, said goodbye Friday to a beloved K-9 named Diego who served for the Marietta Police Department from 2007 to 2014.
The community held an End of Watch ceremony to honor K-9 Diego.
He retired in 2014 and lived a good life, according to a Facebook post from the City of Marietta.
"Thank you for your service! We're so glad retirement was good until the end! RIP Diego," the City of Marietta said in a post on March 21.
