With Gov. Mike DeWine's order preventing restaurants and bars from hosting patrons on-site, hundreds of restaurants and bars across Northeast Ohio have adapted to offer take-out and/or delivery options to hungry Ohioans.

This is a map created by News 5 showing the locations of hundreds of restaurants and bars that offer delivery and take-out options.

The blue marks are locations listed by News 5 - check this list for details on whether the location offers delivery, take-out or both. The orange marks are from a list provided by SociallyDistantEats.com.

If you would like your restaurant listed on this map, head to News 5's We're Open! Northeast Ohio page and fill out the form. Please include your restaurant's name, address, and what you are offering customers.

In addition to dozens of locations we tracked down and listed, News 5 reached out to SociallyDistantEats.com, a non-profit project created by Nick Goers, the lead developer for Cleveland-based marketing firm Company 119. The project was borne out of the company's desire to use its knowledge and resources to help those in the community as coronavirus spreads across the country, and DeWine's orders to help prevent the spread are keeping Ohioans in their homes and away from social situations.

"We called it nerds helping neighbors," said Company 119 owner Christian Klein, who helped build the site, which currently lists hundreds of restaurants offering delivery and take-out. There's no advertising on the site, and his company is not collecting a dollar - the goal is to show locally-owned businesses that can help hungry residents. Any restaurant can go to the site and add their information to it, then team members will update the site with additional restaurants as they come in.

While Socially Distant Eats currently lists Northeast Ohio locations, Klein said the site is designed such that other cities across the country could make use of it.

Businesses can also let News 5 know how they're helping their community by filling out the form on our page: We're Open! Northeast Ohio.
