The Cleveland Cavaliers were already known for their style on the hardwood but they've become increasingly in the spotlight for their style off the court.
LeBron James, Kevin Love, Tristan Thompson, J.R. Smith, Iman Shumpert and other players regularly post photos of themselves walking into the arena wearing fashion-forward ensembles and photos from fashion magazines or ad campaigns.
James, Shumpert, Smith and Thompson all cracked the 2016 Harper’s BAZAAR list of the 15 best-dressed NBA players — more than any other team.
In September, Shumpert was lauded on Vogue.com as one of the biggest risk-takers at New York Fashion Week. He was spotted with his wife, singer and actress Teyana Taylor, at fashion shows sporting bold styles, like a crop top and half-kilt, half-trouser.
Love frequently posts shots of himself sporting Banana Republic outfits. He became the retailer's first style ambassador in 2016. Love also has a deal with Saxx Underwear.
Thompson, who gained notoriety outside the basketball world by dating Khloe Kardashian, has been featured in GQ and ESPN The Magazine. In February, the magazine profiled his walk-in look, described as “mixing classic and modern looks to stand out on the fashion-forward Cavs."
The Cavs players have been largely quiet on social media since losing twice to Golden State in the finals. But, keep an eye on their accounts once the wins start rolling in.
