NBA All-Star guard Dwyane Wade has signed a one-year, $2.3 million contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers, ESPN reports.
According to ESPN, Wade is expected to report to the Cavs' evening practice session Wednesday.
In a statement posted to Twitter Wednesday, Wade said, regarding Cleveland, that "there's no better place to be right now to continue to play and compete at the highest level."
He continued: "Cleveland believes in my talents and what I can bring to a championship contender both as a player and a leader."

Cavaliers General Manager Koby Altman also expressed his excitement about Wade's decision to join the team.
