CLEVELAND — Myles Garrett was the first Browns player to be named to this year’s NFL Top 100 list, ranked at No. 80.
Each year, NFL Network names the top 100 players in the league as voted on by the players themselves.
"The Top 100 Players of 2020" began on Sunday and continues over three consecutive days.
Garrett, who was listed at No. 49 on last year’s list, fell to No. 80 this year.
Last season, Garrett recorded 10 sacks in the first 10 games of the season before being suspended for the remainder of the season following a fight in the Browns-Steelers game in Cleveland. In his three seasons, Garrett has brought an explosive pass-rush to the team, racking up 30.5 sacks, 104 tackles and six forced fumbles in that time. Garrett was the No. 1 pick in the NFL Draft and earned Pro-Bowl honors the following year.
The Browns recently made Garrett the NFL’s highest-paid defensive player with a 5-year, $125 million contract extension.
Last year, Garrett was joined on the Top 100 list by three of his teammates including Jarvis Landry (84), Baker Mayfield (50), and Odell Beckham Jr. (23).
Fans will soon find out if any other Browns players made the cut this year as NFL Network's “The Top 100 Players of 2020” continues Monday night.
