In a statement tweeted by the Browns, coach Hue Jackson has named quarterback Brock Osweiler as the starter for the preseason opener against the New Orleans Saints.
The Browns will host the Saints on Thursday night at FirstEnergy Stadium. The game will air on News 5.
Osweiler joined the Browns' roster via trade in March.
