BEREA, Ohio — With their final pick of the evening, the Cleveland Browns have selected another Tiger, this time adding linebacker Jacob Phillips with the 97th overall pick in the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft.

Phillips is the second player selected out of LSU on Friday after the Browns selected safety Grant Delpitwith the 44th pick. The two join LSU alumni Greedy Williams, Odell Beckham Jr. and Jarvis Landry.

The linebacker recorded 218 career tackles with 13.5 tackles for loss, two sacks and an interception at LSU.

The Browns acquired the 97th draft pick in their trade with the Houston Texans that sent disgruntled running back Duke Johnson away for a fourth-round draft pick that became a third-rounder after Johnson was active for 10 games last season.

Cleveland will select next on Saturday afternoon with the 115th overall pick in the third round of the draft.
