CLEVELAND — Cleveland Browns tight end Austin Hooper will not play Sunday’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals due to surgery to remove his appendix, head coach Kevin Stefanski said Friday.

Stefanski said there is no timetable for his return at this time. There is also a chance he could miss the following game against the Raiders.

Hooper, a Pro Bowler, was signed by the Browns in March. He set a career-high in 2019 with 75 receptions for 787 yards and six touchdowns.
