Johnny Manziel to…Dallas?
That’s what some Cowboys fans are pushing for in a campaign.
Following the Cleveland Browns’ dismal 3-13 season and the recent firings of Mike Pettine and Ray Farmer, talks of Johnny’s future and where he’ll end up next season continue to heat up.
And one website run by Dallas fans is campaigning to bring Johnny, “the greatest quarterback to grace God’s country, Texas,” to the Cowboys, the group’s website says.
Here’s what the group has to say about the quarterback:
We need to bring the greatest quarterback to grace God’s country, Texas, back to Texas! Johnny is a quarterback that can bring some spark back to ‘Merica’s Team. The young star hasn’t yet had his chance to shine. As the future leader of the greatest sports franchise in the world, he would get that chance. As true fans, we need to put a star on this man’s helmet and bring him home to the Lone Star State where he belongs. Dallas fans, let’s make Jerry hear our voice by spreading Johnny awareness across our great state!
Join the campaign to Bring Johnny to Dallas and show your support with a T-shirt.
Together we can make this happen!
The group is also encouraging others to sign a petition to call for the Cowboys to bring Johnny to Dallas. So far, the campaign has garnered more than 600 signatures.
It doesn’t stop there – the campaign has created a “Bring Johnny 2 Dallas” T-shirt for supporters that can be purchased through the website.
The best part? According to the website, the campaign hopes Manziel could “Make ‘Merica’s Team Great Again!”
