The Cleveland Browns expect to start quarterback Josh McCown against the New York Giants Sunday.
Head coach Hue Jackson said Monday it looks like McCown will start.
That's because starter Cody Kessler was taken out with a concussion during the Browns 24-9 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Kessler had to be helped from the field late in the third quarter after he was hit by Steelers linebacker Lawrence Timmons.
McCown said this about Kessler during media availability Monday:
“I have seen him, yeah. I have seen him and talked with him. Obviously, he is disappointed, and it is just frustrating for him just coming out of the game and having it already happened once, I think he is disappointed and wants to be in there for his team. I understand that. Yeah, he is just disappointed.”
