CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Browns are slated to play against the Carolina Panthers for the first game of the NFL season in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Former Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield will represent the Panthers on the other side of the ball, marking it the first game in his NFL career with another team besides Cleveland since being drafted in 2018.
Cleveland will have quarterback Jacoby Brissett under center, after Deshaun Watson was suspended for 11 games.
