Kevin Love explains WWE belt on 'The Late Show with Stephen Colbert'

Kevin Love shared the Cavs WWE connection with Stephen Colbert Monday night, along with fielding pointed questions about whether he had been afraid Draymond Green might harm his groin during NBA games.

Love, a guest on 'The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,' explained the WWE theme arose because the Cavs knew the NBA Finals were going to be a wrestling match and they were going to go the distance.

Plus they were all into '90s and early 2000 wrestling, thus the vintage T-shirts with Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Undertaker that he and LeBron James were spotted wearing.

During the show, Love held a championship belt he said the WWE tailor-made for the team, which declared the Cavaliers as 2016 NBA champions.

When his NBA victory hug with LeBron came up for discussion, Love said he had not wanted to be the guy searching for someone to hug. So he looked for the guy he knew everyone was most likely to hug; and that's how the the now-famous embrace happened.

Joking aside, Love told Colbert it was a special moment he would always remember.

Avoiding joking, though, proved not so easy around Colbert, who persisted in asking Love if he was ever afraid when he went up against Draymond Green.

"Have you had your children yet is what I'm asking," Colbert said.

"No," Love answered.

"Well then, stay away from that man."

"I did my best job to, I guess, protect myself, " Love finally responded.
