Ohio and Calif. senators face off on NBA Finals

An Ohio senator placed a bet with his California colleague that the Cleveland Cavaliers will conquer the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Finals. If he's right, beer ensues.

If the Warriors win, U.S. Senator Barbara Boxer (D-California) will be drinking beer delivered to her office by Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio) from the Platform Brewing company in Cleveland.

“I look forward to welcoming Senator Brown in his blue and gold best back to our office to toast another championship for an incredible team that embodies the term, ‘Strength In Numbers’!” Boxer said.

But Brown thinks not. He's counting on Boxer delivering a cool glass to him from the 21st Amendment Brewery in California's Bay Area when the Cavs clobber the Warriors.

“This time the Cavs are healthy and have the talent to go all the way, and when the final buzzer sounds the Warriors will remember that Cleveland is ALL IN," Brown said.

Game on.
