AMHERST, Ohio — UPDATE: Route 2 has reopened.
Eastbound lanes of State Route 2 are closed just east of SR-58 near Amherst due to a crash.
Emergency personnel are on scene, according to the Ohio Department of Transportation. ODOT crews are working to divert traffic to a detour.
ODOT is showing delays of over 50 minutes eastbound.
Motorists are advised to find an alternate route and avoid the area is possible.
The detour route for eastbound traffic is SR-2 to SR-58, south on SR-58 to SR-113, east on SR-113 to SR-57, and north on SR-57 back to SR-2 eastbound.
There is no estimated time as to when the road will reopen.
Route to was initially closed in both directions, but westbound lanes have since reopened.
