CLEVELAND — While temperatures near 50 degrees are still considered cold for some, this is going to be the warmest day of the week before temperatures take a frigid plunge into winter.

So enjoy the sun it while it lasts. Rain will roll in Wednesday night ahead of some bitter cold air.
Rain will mix with snow Thursday morning, but will likely switch to all snow by mid-late Thursday afternoon. Some of the snow will melt but accumulation around a trace to 2 inches is still expected by Thursday evening. Lake effect snow may add to those snow totals a bit Thursday night into Friday morning.
Everyone's favorite Lake Effect Snow machine is getting fired up several times over the next week.

It's important to note that Thursday's snow won't be severe, but it will be the first snowfall for many areas. During the evening commute on Thursday, drivers should keep an eye out for slick spots on the road.
A major arctic blast arrives early next week with temperatures 20-25 degrees below normal likely. Along with the really cold temps, there will be multiple chances for lake effect snow next week.
