The National Weather Service has issued an Air Quality Advisory for Ground Level Ozone in multiple counties across Northeast Ohio.

According to the NWS, air quality levels will be unhealthy for sensitive groups such as children and the elderly during the advisory hours of midnight Friday to midnight Saturday.

The advisory is in effect for the following counties: Ashtabula, Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain, Medina, Portage and Summit.

Ohioans are asked to help reduce air pollution by driving less, walking, biking or using public transit. It’s also advised to refuel your vehicle after sundown and to avoid mowing your grass.
