CLEVELAND — The National Weather Service has issued a Beach Hazards Statement in effect from Thursday evening through Friday evening.
The statement is in effect for Cuyahoga, Lorain, Lake and Ashtabula Lakeshore counties. The statement is in effect from 9:00 p.m. Thursday until at 12:00 a.m. Saturday.
Wind and wave action will cause currents on the lakeshore. Swimmers should not enter the water.
Currents can carry swimmers away from the shore through a sand bar and along structures out into the lake.
