Although the weekend was warm and sunny, don’t be too quick to put away the cold-weather clothes.
With a drop beginning on Monday, Northeast Ohio will experience temperatures around 10 to 20 degrees lower than average for the duration of the week, with highs in the 40s and 50s.
Much cooler air arrives tom. with high temps in the 50s for NE OH...in fact, temps stay 10-20 degrees below normal for the rest of the week! It might be May but don't put the jackets and coats away just yet! #ohwx#weather #wews #Cleveland pic.twitter.com/XXrIoywoPZ

The colder weather will likely stick around for another week as the Power of 5 Weather’s 8-14 day forecast also shows colder than average temperatures lingering in the area.
While it pains us to say it, there is a chance for some snowflakes in the snow belt due to the cold weather later in the week. A rain/snow mix could hit the area late Friday to early Saturday.
It’s Ohio, so snow in May isn’t too much of a surprise—just remember not to put the jackets and coats away just yet.
