CLEVELAND — If you are looking to get outside this weekend, there will be a small window of opportunity to enjoy a bit of fresh air before the rain starts Saturday afternoon and goes into Sunday.

Rain showers are likely by Saturday afternoon with highs near 60 degrees. We’re not drying out until late Sunday with much cooler air settling in the area.

If you want to be outside at any point this weekend, you have a shot at enjoying some sunshine during the beginning half of Saturday, as it will remain dry and mild.

The rain for some areas will be heavy at times, especially for the southern half of Northeast Ohio. Some minor flooding may develop due to rises of creeks, streams and rivers. Residents could see pick-up over one inch of rain over the weekend as this model shows.

Rain should start tapering off by Sunday evening.

As always, remember to watch out for any flooded areas that may develop and avoid them.
