The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Warning for Southwestern Ashtabula and Northwestern Trumbull counties until 9:45 p.m. Friday.
According to the NWS, around two inches of rain has already fallen and another 1.5 inches is expected. Excessive runoff will cause flooding in small steams and creeks, low-lying areas and farmland.
Motorists are advised to avoid flooded roads and to remember, "turn around, don't drown." Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
