A Lakeshore Flood Warning has been issued by the National Weather Service for Erie, Sandusky, Ottawa and Lucas counties until Sunday afternoon.

The watch is in effect until 4 p.m. Sunday.

According to the NWS, "low-lying property including parking lots, lawns, and homes and businesses will be inundated near the lake. Some shoreline erosion will occur."

Winds of 15 to 20 mph on the lake are also expected, but they will shift to the northeast Sunday and then climb to 20 to 30 mph before slowing down in the afternoon, the NWS stated.

Residents are asked to not drive around barricades or through water of an unknown depth. If you have flood-prone property, extra measures may need to be taken.
