CLEVELAND — A Beach Hazards Statement has been issued for lakeshore counties on Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.

The statement is in effect for Lake, Cuyahoga and Lake counties from 9 p.m. Tuesday until 10 a.m. Wednesday.

High wind gusts and waves will cause currents to develop on the lakeshore. Swimmers should not enter the water out of safety concerns.

Currents can carry swimmers away from the shore through a sand bar and along structures extending out into the lake.
