Rain soaks Northeast Ohio

CLEVELAND — It's been a wet one today, and it's not over yet.

A Flash Flood Warning has been issued for Lorain and Cuyahoga counties until 11:30 p.m.

According to the National Weather Service, "Heavy rain will continue to fall over areas that already received up to two inches of rain from earlier in the day. Additional showers and thunderstorms are expected to move into the warned area through this evening.

Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible in the warned area."

Power of 5 meteorologist Remeisha Shade gave an update on afternoon weather.

Flooding is a concern for Parma, Berea, Independence, Streetsboro, Twinsburg, Hudson, Warrensville Heights and Solon, as well as low-lying areas such as small creeks, urban areas and highways.

As a precaution, if you see a flooded road, turn around, don’t drown.
