The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for most of Northeast Ohio and a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for three counties.
A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for the following counties, effective until 6:15 p.m.:
- Cuyahoga
- Medina
- Summit
A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for Ashtabula County, effective until 6:30 p.m .
A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for Geauga County, effective until 6:45 p.m., and for Portage County, effective until 7:15 p.m.
A previous warning, in effect until 5:15 p.m., was issued for Erie and Huron counties. Another warning was issued for Lorain County, effective until 5:45 p.m.
The watch, which is in effect until 11 p.m. Sunday, has been issued for the following counties:
- Ashland
- Ashtabula
- Cuyahoga
- Erie
- Geauga
- Holmes
- Huron
- Lake
- Lorain
- Medina
- Portage
- Richland
- Stark
- Summit
- Trumbull
- Wayne
Damaging winds with gusts up to 60 mph are possible.
