CLEVELAND — New Year's Day will bring an icy mix to Northeast Ohio along with heavier rain and potential flooding later on.
Freezing rain is possible on Friday from late morning into early afternoon. Then we get rain by mid to late afternoon through Friday night.
Rainfall potential by early Saturday morning is in the .75 to 1.25-inch range.
That, plus lots of snow that has melted from recent winter storms could trigger flash flood advisories and/or warnings Friday late afternoon through Saturday morning.
